Low increases in municipal taxes

Laval property owners are among the lowest taxed in the Province. Since 1994, increases in average municipal tax has been two and half times less than inflation

The 2010 city budget continues in this vain as the residential sector will see municipal taxes increase by barely 1 percent (on average). There is more good news. The budget also foresees freezes to the special water infrastructure tax, the water tax and the tariff related to water usage. Taxes on regional transport will also be frozen.
