An all-new cancer centre
Good news for some 900 patients who, year after year, had to travel outside of the city to receive cancer treatments. The opening of the Centre de cancérologie de Laval in 2011 will allow for these patients to benefit from the same care, very close to home!
Built at a cost of $37.5M, this new oncology center will feature six radio-oncology treatment rooms, 22 chemotherapy stations and one brachytherapy room, making this the only cancer centre in Quebec to integrate all of these services under one roof.
