The only « château » in Quebec
Laval is home to the very first vineyard in Quebec that was granted the status of “Château”. The Château Taillefer Lafon, the largest Quebec producer of grapes coming from the “vignes nobles”, participated in the prestigious 2004 Sélections Mondiales des Vins. Its ice wine was awarded the gold medal and its ice cider was awarded the silver medal.
